General Electric Malaysia visited our Community Environment & Skills Center and went on our interactive educational tour. 23 people from General Electric Malaysia arrived at 9am and greeted by our CEO, Mike O’Leary, on the amphitheater. With the “Think Global Act Local” activity, we divided them into 3 groups where each group visited the composting area, seedling hut, companion planting, natural dyes, weaving station and soap upcycling station.
To ensure sustainable future of our Community Environment & Skills Center, General Electric Malaysia also build an organic cement wall for our center. All three groups works together mixing organic cement, passing limestone rocks and constructing the wall. After about an hour of construction, the wall is finished and look stunning.
Each people from General Electric Malaysia also plant different kind of trees at our center. Everyone can choose which trees best suits them and plant it with the compost that we made. They promised to come back again in ten years with their children to see how the trees have grown.
Thank you, General Electric Malaysia, for visiting our centers and ensure Bali sustainable futures!
