After given an introduction to R.O.L.E. Foundation by Michael O’Leary, Founder of ROLE, each of them received eco passport and went to each station in the center to learn more about saving environment and providing job to coastal communities. They learned about reforestation, the problems with our oceans because of human activities, paper recycling, soap upcycling, waste management problem in Indonesia, made compost using lasagna method, made seedling and seed balls, went through the nursery to identify the herbs and spices and tasted jamu. They also made bandana from used bed sheets and tie dye it using natural colors and finally they tried to weave rang-rang using the traditional machine.
In the middle of the training we had break and they enjoyed some tropical fruits and traditional cakes. All money raised goes to environmental training for local schools in Bali and sustainable business
