SMP Nusa Dua Environmental Training

Thursday, 15th Nov 2018. Public School Healthy Environment Program. Twenty students from SMP Nusa Dua aged 14-15 years old had a half day training about ‘Think Global Act Local’ at Zero Waste to Oceans – Community Environment and Skills Center. This is their sixth batch, thus bring the total trained students to 7008. They were not hesitate to get their hands dirty although wearing traditional attire uniform.

After received eco-passport sponsored by DPG, the students were given explanation about environmental condition in Indonesia by our educator and then the training begun. They started it in waste management area and then moved to composting. Followed by seed bank, seed ling, seed balls, aquaculture, companion planting, natural dyes, traditional weaving and soap upcycling.

The training finished with the students given quizzes about the materials that they’ve been given. The students also enjoyed traditional cakes and lemon grass tea during the break.

Kamis, 15 Nov 2018. Program Pelatihan Lingkungan Sekolah Sehat. Dua puluh siswa/siswi dari SMP Nusa Dua umur 14-15 tahun mendapatkan pelatihan setengah hari tentang ‘Think Global Act Local’ at Zero Waste to Oceans – Community Environment and Skills Center. Ini merupakan rombongan kelima mereka dan menjadikan total siswa/siswi yang dilatih menjadi 7008. Mereka tidak ragu untuk mencoba secara langsung meskipun mereka mengenakan seragam baju tradisional. Terimakasih DPG yang telah memberikan sponsor eco passport.

Setelah mendapatkan eco passport yang disponsori oleh DPG (Digital Photo Graphics Nusa Dua), siswa/siswi berikan penjelasan mengenai kondisi lingkungan yang ada di Indonesia oleh pendidik kami kemudian pelatihan dimulai. Mereka memulai di area manajemen sampah kemudian pindah ke area pembuatan kompos. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan Bank Bibit, pembibitan, bola bibit, akuakultur, metode penanaman tumpang sari, pewarna alam, tenun tradisional dan pengoalahn sabun.

Pelatihan diakhiri dengan kuis untuk siswa/siswi mengenai materi yang sudah diberikan. Mereka juga menikmati jajan tradisional dan juga the sereh waktu istirahat.
