Call to Action – There are over 850 local councils in Bali, with few having any resemblance of a professional waste management system in place. With only 5 legal landfills on Bali and so much distance between them waste is being dumped everywhere by everyone. Trucks dump them into the Subak Rice field Watering System. Councils have no public rubbish bins and households are dumping everywhere or burning fire to it.
Response to Call to Action – Give each local council a Centralized Waste Management System, so there is no need to transport Solid Waste far. ROLE Foundation has built the “Bali Environmental Center”. This Center educate how to recycled or reused 98% of all waste. All the waste has a value and is not to be thrown out. 2 or 3 Innovator Councils will be invited to put Bali Environmental Center Recycling System into their Council.
Program Role Out – ROLE Foundation with it’s Waste Management Engineering Partners is under negotiation with 2 Banjars, to kick start the Zero Waste to Ocean initiative. ROLE Foundation is negotiating with the innovators Banjars that are open to a new way of thinking, willing to apply our responsible waste management principals at their local councils. Our Waste Engineering partners will be building and equipping the targeted Councils, and ROLE Foundation will do the systems training and education at our Bali Environmental Center, where they will be given the tools and the knowledge to make a positive change for the health of their community and their environment.
There are around 1000 of these councils that need to be delt with so we will start with innovative councils then move on to early adopters and so on a so forth down to the laggards.
